11 May 2008 - Jump Training at Lower Farm

We have recently set up a new Jump Training scheme at the weekends for all riders with their own horses. Sessions are aimed at all levels from the complete beginner to the experienced competitor. The sessions will be informal with a qualified instructor on hand to offer advice and support if required. Most weeks the fences will be in a grid format, with courses set up from time to time. The purpose of these sessions is for everyone to improve their jumping in a relaxed environment with as much or as little help as they need. The trainer is there to alter fences and distances for the riders so there is no need to get off if you knock down a pole!

Sessions are approximately 45 minutes long and are at 11am on alternate Saturdays and Sundays.
Only £10 per rider! Please book via the contact us page or call Kate on 01234 712692 or 07989 114413

A local horse livery stables has achieved recognition for being an outstanding centre of excellence by the British Horse Society.

This award given to Lower Farm Stables is one of only eleven given worldwide for this period in 2007. The stables, originally a riding school and now a livery yard have recently undergone a major refurbishment and now boasts all new facilities for the owners and large airy stables for the horses. The centre has also purchased an extra field ensuring all year round grazing for the horses.

Lower Farm Stables has been a British Horse Society approved centre in Lavendon near Olney for almost 20 years, standing up to rigorous spot checks by inspectors.

The Society is the country’s leading horse charity, promoting horse welfare and providing a tiered training system for riding instructors and equestrian centres all over the world.

Livery yards and riding schools are spot checked annually and approval is only given to those yards meeting the Society’s very high standards.

Kate Gregory the yard manager said;

“My staff and I are thrilled to receive this award from The British Horse Society. We have always taken great pride in providing a high quality individual service for our clients and their horses - this recognises the extra effort the staff go to, to provide an outstanding level of service for our clients.”
